“Shitoria. This used to be our capital city. A clean, decent place we could be proud of. What an absolute disgrace.”

The video showed dilapidated buildings and a heavily littered street with sewage flowing freely. The person recording the video applauded the City of Tshwane for removing squatters from some of the vacant buildings.

“As far back as 2000, Marabastad had a couple of dilapidated buildings. I think what’s shocking is that so many have fallen apart now. A real-world example of broken windows theory.”

“These are the photos the mayor will never show you.”

@KeletsoOstelek explained:

“This is embarrassing for someone with such big audience to comment nonsense without context, the City is currently cleaning the place, and yes, they removed the very same people DA allowed to trade without paying rent/utilities, those buildings will be demolished.”
