MaWhoo embroiled in R1million lawsuit
In a previous report from Briefly News, MaWhoo faced legal action after she was served with a letter of demand on 16 May 2025 by Blue Screen Entertainment. The singer allegedly made some controversial remarks about the organisers of the event. Blue Screen gave MaWhoo until 19 May 2025 to retract and apologise. However, MaWhoo never uttered a word, so they took things further by filing the lawsuit.
The company claimed that MaWhoo's statements were "reckless and unfounded", adding that its reputation was harmed. The company further demanded "R1 million in damages, interest at 15.5% per annum, and legal costs on an attorney-client scale."
