Shaka ILembe star Nomzamo Mbatha, who got dragged by Simphiwe Dana on social media on Monday, 28 July, recently discussed her love for her hair and owning her crown.
The former Isibaya star, who made headlines this week when she denied rumours that she visited Paul Mashatile's mansion, has opened up about her hair journey.
Mbatha also topped social media trends this week when singer Simphiwe Dana accused her of copying her hairstyle.

The actress recently revealed in an interview with Sowetan that her hair has always carried a message, whether it’s to herself or society.

"Hair can be a political statement depending on where I am and which carpet I’m walking on. What am I saying? I’m always speaking with my hair, especially when it’s big or taking on a different shape.
"You look at me at the Met Gala, that hair was specific. I said: 'This is what we’re going to do because we are commanding a space'.
"When I have my short pixie and in my natural state as well, I’m allowing my hair to feel the gravity of the sun and wind," says the actress.
Mbatha also advises mothers to be careful of the language they use around little girls when it comes to their hair.
The actress adds that mothers should make their daughters feel confident, as the sooner they embrace their hair, the better relationship they’ll have with their self-esteem.

Professional hairstylist Lazaros Sumbane spoke to Briefly News journalist Jessica Gcaba about ancient practices of using natural hairstyles as a form of expression.
"If you look at the era of slavery, for example, when the Africans were sent to America, they used their natural hair to create hairstyles in a way that was a form of expression. That was how they communicated with one another. It was a language because they could not be able to speak the foreign language."
Entertainment channel MDN News recently shared on its X account that Ndiredi hitmaker Simphiwe Dana publicly accused Mbatha of copying her popular hairstyle.
The singer claimed that Mbatha’s hairstyle featured in the Shaka ILembe season 2 premiere look is integral to her brand.
