A young South African lady on TikTok, Sasa, educated Mzansi about imported goods that have become famous in the country.

Locals were outraged by the revelation and wondered what other products were foreign to them. The video went viral after the lady posted it on Tuesday.
South Africans watched the now-viral clip 357.5K times and commented on it in a thread of 707 comments. Brands like Sunlight and Black Label have become very popular in the country, so locals thought they were made in Mzansi, or at least in Africa.

Sasa shocked almost half a million people when she shared where nine Mzansi loved brands were originally from. She broke the ice by explaining that Black Label was actually Canadian.

People online were also gagged to learn that one of their favourite cleaning brands, Sunlight, was made in England. While most people gasped at the lady’s information, she went ahead and shared that Zam-Buk was also from England.
That was one of the biggest shockers before South Africans learned that Milo, Weet-Bix and Kiwi were originally from Australia. When it came to school stationery, Sasa shared that Pritt was made by the Germans.
Czech is responsible for Bata after many people thought it was a Kenyan brand. The famous stationery brand, BIC, is French. Sasa saved the biggest disappointment for last:
“Sorry, I forgot to say that Mrs. Ball’s Chutney is from Canada.”
