The Nicki Minaj pose challenge has seen all walks of life, even cartoon characters, showcase their take on the viral trend. On 9 August, 2025, A 71-year-old content creator, known as 'American Babushka,' took the internet by storm with her impressive take on the viral challenge.

The fashion-forward granny uploaded her attempt in the kitchen on her TikTok account.

With her red lips matching her heels, she easily went into a squatting position. She barely used the chair next to her for support while crossing her leg over the other.

What is the Nicki Minaj pose challenge?

The Nicki Minaj pose challenge, which blew up on TikTok, takes inspiration from the pose the award-winning rapper strikes in the music video for her hit song High School, which features Lil Wayne.

In the music video, Nicki sits poolside in a stylish pink bikini and stilettos, crouching with her legs crossed. She impressively showcases how both her heeled feet are flat on the ground.

However, some social media users attempting the challenge have added a dangerous twist by balancing one foot on stacked, random objects in the hopes of receiving millions of likes and views. Unstable objects included a mailbox, dumbbells, bricks, cans, and other items that one may view as unstable.

The viral video had tens of thousands of amused members of the online community taking an interest in American Babushka. Many were surprised and inspired by the woman's agility at her age.
