In July, a young South African man decided to upgrade his place by giving his kitchen a facelift.

The chap did not feel like spending thousands on new cupboards when the ones he had were still in good condition. He decided to try out a DIY project and hoped for the best.

The chap used a neutral wallpaper to change up the scenery and a black spray paint for the touch-ups. His renovation video reached 1.7 million people.

South Africans were wowed by how creative one young gent was after he avoided breaking the bank for his kitchen renovations. The talented man, Katleho Tsone, bought some spray paint and wallpaper to change up his outdated kitchen cupboards.

He covered the doors with the grey wallpaper and sprayed the handles with black spray paint. He ensured his project was clean by uninstalling the handles first so that he could stick the wallpaper perfectly.

The end result wowed many people as the cupboards looked like they were brand new from the store. The colour changed the vibe in the house as it gave it a more modern and luxurious feel.

Tsone was proud of his hard work and captioned his now-viral TikTok clip:

“Do what you can, with what you have, and do it now! Out of all the DIY Projects I've done, this one is the most complicated but satisfying one ever.”
