Kaizer Chiefs are one of the most active Premier Soccer League clubs in the transfer market this summer, as they've had players leave and also a good number of quality players joining the club.

The Glamour Boys had a poor season in the Betway Premiership last term but ended the campaign on a good note by lifting the Nedbank Cup after beating Orlando Pirates in the final of the competition.

They've brought in players like Flavio Silva on a free transfer from Indonesia, Nkanyiso Shinga, and former Orlando Pirates stars Thabiso Monyane and Paseka Mako.

R76 million worth of stars leave Chiefs this summer

Some good quality players have left Kaizer Chiefs this summer, with the surprising one still being their former captain, Yusuf Maart, who decided to join Austrian Bundesliga outfit SV Ried in a deal worth a reported R15 million.

Eight players have parted ways with the Soweto giants this summer, with six of them leaving as free agents.

Ranga Chivaviro, Edson Castillo, Sabelo Radebe, Edmilson Dove, Mduduzi Mdantsane, and Tebogo Potsane all left after their contracts ended with the club and will be joining a new club on a free transfer.

The Glamour Boys also decided not to sign Njabulo Blom on a permanent deal after his loan spell with the club came to an end this summer.

Maart is still the only player Kaizer Chiefs recouped some money back on his transfer this window, but the worth of the players who have left the club this summer amounts to approximately R76 million, according to Transfermarkt.

The summer transfer is yet to close officially which means there might be players who could still leave the club this summer and also new signings are still expected.

Kaizer Chiefs' performance in pre-season

Kaizer Chiefs travelled to the Netherlands for a pre-season tour and were only able to win one game, which was a 1-0 win over PEC Zwolle.

They suffered defeats against FC Twente, NEC Nijmegen, FC Utrecht, and Vitesse while they were on tour in Europe.

The Glamour Boys' final pre-season match was against Ghanaian side Asante Kotoko in the Toyota Cup, and they ended up losing on penalties after the match ended goalless in normal regulation time.
