Springboks coach Rassie Erasmus is reportedly in negotiations with SA Rugby (SARU) over a possible contract extension beyond the 2027 Rugby World Cup.

Sources suggest Erasmus is seeking clarity not only on his future but also on the status of his coaching staff, whose contracts also end in 2027. With speculation mounting and foreign clubs circling, pressure is building on SARU to secure Erasmus’ services beyond 2027.

The Springboks have kicked off their 2025 campaign in dominant fashion, securing wins over the Barbarians, Georgia, and Italy (twice). The team now shifts focus to back-to-back clashes against the Wallabies on home soil.
